Access to emergency assistance in the case of any road accidents or traffic problems is imperative to public safety. Given this, Jacques has designed and manufactured a road and highway help point system. The Jacques Emergency Help Point Units are user-friendly, reliable, robust Help Point station that automatically connects to a monitoring or central control location, once the call button is pressed, providing quick and convenient access to emergency assistance.
Help Point Units (HPU’s) are available in two models:
- HPU-5E is an Ethernet device based on Ethernet network standards and TCP/IP protocols. As an Ethernet network device, Help Point Units can easily be integrated into existing, shared or dedicated networks.
- HPU-5G is a GSM device that upon activation automatically dials pre-configured phone numbers using its integrated GSM mobile phone network interface. On power-up the GSM Emergency Help Point Unit connects to the mobile phone carrier network. A call is initiated on the press of the call button by dialing the configured numbers stored on the internal SIM card phone book and calls can be answered from any PSTN telephone, mobile phone or PABX extension, providing help or support to the caller.
